My daughter will be a senior next year.  She does not plan to study any science related field in college, or apply to any top universities.  Is it necessary for her to take physics during senior year, or could she take material science instead? She will have already taken Earth Science, Biology, and Chemistry at that point. I don\’t know what universities look for when it comes to course selection, other than the fact that she will have taken 4 years worth of science, with no plans to go into a STEM field.
