Questions about filling out common app

Hi Colin!

Yes, you can work through the Common App and it automatically saves your work. You will log in and out of the Common App hundreds of times before it’s all over, so get used to many sessions with this beauty. Juniors can start the Common App anytime because the data rolls over into Senior year but DO NOT add colleges and work on the College specific pages because those will change in August.

If your school uses Naviance, you will add your teachers with the help of your school counselors IN Naviance, NOT in the Common App. If your school does not use the evil Naviance then you will invite your teachers and counselor by first waiving your FERPA rights, (YES waive them), and then adding your teachers and counselor on that page.  THEN you need to assign your teachers under the Colleges tab, for each college.  See our phone app in May for help with this.  Hope this answer helps right now!
