Meet our August $500 College Scholarship winner, Shannon!
Shannon is a Senior in high school who enjoys relaxing, Taekwondo, catching up on television shows (she’s a self-proclaimed TV addict), and hanging out with friends. At school is involved in theatre and is currently the stage manager of the theatre department.
She is also involved in Girl Scouts and the Pop Culture Club.
In addition to being active in her school, she works as a Taekwondo instructor at her Taekwondo school. In college, Shannon hopes to study Photojournalism in order to prepare for her dream job of traveling the world as a photojournalist. She would like to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which is her dream school. Shannon said her favorite part about CollegeMapper is, “How easy it is to track your progress and the uniqueness of the idea behind the site and its set-up.”
